Description
The Deutsche Bahn ET425 is an AC electric railcar operated as a regional express and so-called S-Bahn in cities such as Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Hanover, and Berlin. From 1999 to 2008, a total of 249 cars of the ET425 were commissioned to replace the conventional ET420 and the passenger trains. It operates as a 4-car articulated train with a reduced weight thanks to its aluminum body, and can be coupled as necessary.
